How do I get a domain name?

You can purchase a domain name through Jumptools or via a third-party domain provider. The benefits of registering the domain with Jumptools are:

What if I have already registered a domain with a third-party domain registrar?

If you are using custom domain name (i.e you will need to change the Address Record (also known as an A Record) for your domain to point to Jumptools' hosting servers. Changing the A record of your domain will need to be done through your domain name provider. We recommend you to contact their support line to do so. We recommend that you forward your secondary domains to your primary domain as a best practice for search engine optimization. If you need help turning forwarding on, please contact your domain provider's support.

How can I secure my domain name with SSL?

SSL stands for Secure Sockets Layer. It is a security protocol that encrypts the communication between a web browser like Chrome and a web server. It really makes sense where a website is used to collect sensitive data, but it is becoming a standard for all websites.
At Jumptools we offer to secure your domain name for free as long as you have a subscription with us and that your domain name points to our A Record. Just email requesting to have your domain name secured. Requests are usually completed within 2-5 business days.

How can I recover my domain name's ownership and have full control over it?

While your domain name is registered through Jumptools, we are responsible for any admin task related to it. However if for any reason you wish to recover the full control of your domain, please email us at with subject line 'Release my domain name from Jumptools account'.
We will process your request and you will receive your credentials to manage your domain yourself. Please note that we will not be able to provide any further domain name support and your upcoming payments will have to be made directly to the domain provider (Webnames).

How do I transfer my domain name to a different domain provider?

If you need to have your domain name hosted elsewhere (ie GoDaddy), please email with subject line 'Transfer my domain to a different domain provider'. We will reply to you with an authorization code that will be requested by your new domain provider to initiate the transfer.

How can I use my domain name with a different website provider?

You have two options in this scenario.
1. We can release your domain name from our account so you can manage it yourself. Please email us at with subject line 'Release my domain name from Jumptools account'.
We will process your request and you will receive your credentials to manage your domain.
2. Email with the DNS settings from the new website provider so we can update them for you.
