CASL Consent - why it’s vital

Updated on

This is where you specify whether you have a person's permission to send them emails. My Book is designed around Canadian Anti-Spam Law (CASL) regulations, and has elements in place to ensure compliance.

Remember, if you don't have CASL consent checked off, the system will prevent you from sending emails to that contact – for your protection. More on drip campaigns here.

1. Go to 'My Book' and open the details summary for any of your Contacts

You have different options here:

1- Select "Express consent" when you have specific permission to send them emails

2- Choose "Implied consent" if you have done business with them in the last six months

3- If your contact has "No consent" specified, the system will not allow you to send them emails through My Book or through a drip campaign.

4- 'Consent Revoked' is when your Contact has decided not to receive emails from you anymore. Here as well, the system will not allow you to send them emails through My Book or through a drip campaign.
